How To Get Started Writing Artcles

By Bob On November 7, 2011 Under Affiliate Topics, Internet Mktg, Monetization Strategies, ProBlogging Tips, REVIEWS, Search Engine Optimization, Social Media

Its not the easiest thing to get started in any sense never mind when it comes to writing an article. Taking the dog for a walk for instance, the difficult part is to actually get up and go. Once you do get started, everything seems to follow. The very same can be said when it comes to writing an article in order for you to start making money like some commission underground affiliate. You wouldn’t believe how many times I have scrubbed the first line of articles before I have finally settled for the ones I want to start with. Once you get that first sentence in place and you are happy with it, the rest of the article starts to pan out so much easier.

There are lots of ways that you can actually get started writing your article. You can begin with a question, a famous quote or you could start by getting straight to the point. There really is no set in stone way of starting an article as we all write about different things and think along very different lines. As long as the opening sentence of your article suits your purpose, that is all that matters.

What Purpose Does Your Article Serve?

Consider just why you are writing the article. What purpose does it serve? There are many reasons why you are writing an article, especially in the world of internet marketing. It could be for pure entertainment value, to inform people of a service you have to offer, an inspiring story that people can relate to. If you are writing to entertain, then humour will do well. If your intention is to inspire people, then a quote from someone who is famous may do. If your goal is to inform people, then getting staight to the point is a good way to start.

Here is an example of what I am talking about. Lets assume that your articles goal is to inform them of a service you offer and you offer a home grooming service for dogs and you want to encourage people to take use you dog grooming service, you can start your article with something like “does your dog look like it could use a perm?” or “does your dog look like some undisvovered wild furry animal?”, you get the idea. This is a great way to create a relating bond with your readers and they will become more interested in your services.

Writing The First Line

Wanting to inform people is not the only way to start your article. Persuation is another way to get started. Maybe you could tell your readers about a friend who who didn’t want to use your service but after some gentle persaution, they got their dog trimmed and looking like some beverley hills handbag dog. This could also incorporate the entertainment side of things in your article and slipping in some humour will keep your readers gripped. You could tell them that your friend wasn’t impressed after you had groomed their dog because it looked so good, it attracted the attention of the opossite gender and became a daily embarrassment for them as they had never had so much interest in their lives before. This will keep your readers entertained and at the same time, tell them how good you are at what you do.

There is no real formula to starting to write articles, it’s a simple case of letting your imagination go on a wild spree.
